Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has stated that the fight against terrorists will persist until the last terrorist is eliminated. He conveyed this commitment during a video link discussion with anchors and senior journalists of the national media in Quetta.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Chief Minister emphasized the significant efforts of security forces who are operating under challenging conditions. Earlier in the day, crucial briefings were conducted at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Quetta, focusing on Balochistan’s socio-economic sectors, minerals and mining, and the law and order situation.
The Ministry of Planning and Development provided a detailed briefing on the Balochistan government’s strategic plans for the socio-economic advancement of the province. This included discussions on governance, service delivery, effective fund utilization, and ensuring that development projects benefit the local population.
In a separate session, the potential of Balochistan’s minerals and mining sector was explored, with information on ongoing projects. Efforts to develop the mineral sector and leverage the province’s resources for the benefit of its people were highlighted.
The Home and Tribal Affairs Department presented a comprehensive briefing on the measures taken to enhance law and order in the province. This included the Provincial Action Plan, police reforms, and particularly the integration of the Levies Force into the police force.
