Finance Division Denies Link Between Deceased Engineers and IPP Talks

Karachi: The Finance Division has issued a clarification regarding recent media reports suggesting a connection between two Chinese engineers, who were killed in an explosion in Karachi, and the ongoing Independent Power Producers (IPP) negotiations.

According to Ministry of Finance, the government has confirmed that while it is currently engaged in discussions with IPPs, including the power plant where the deceased engineers were employed, these individuals were not involved in the negotiations. The Ministry emphasized that any claims suggesting otherwise are misleading and without factual foundation.
