Islamabad: Federal Finance and Revenue Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb met with U.S. Ambassador Donald Blome today, outlining the government’s commitment to implementing extensive reforms in taxation, energy, and state-owned enterprises (SOEs). The discussions emphasized the goal of increasing Pakistan’s tax to GDP ratio and addressing broader economic challenges.

According to Press Information Department, during the meeting, Minister Aurangzeb detailed the government’s efforts under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to enhance the functionality of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), including a significant transformation plan and the integration of experts into the Board of PRAL, the IT arm of the FBR.
