Finance Minister Hails Productive Trade Discussions with US

Washington: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has termed the ongoing trade talks and discussions with the United States as positive. He expressed these views in a video statement after a constructive meeting with the US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister highlighted that the United States is the largest trade partner of Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of continuing in a positive direction. He underscored the need to move beyond immediate trade imperatives and elevate the Pak-US relationship to a new level, particularly through transformative investments.

The minister identified potential areas for investment, including minerals, mining, AI, digital infrastructure, and crypto. He suggested that such investments could significantly enhance the economic relationship between Pakistan and the United States, marking a substantial shift in bilateral cooperation.
