Finance Minister Meets with Aerated Beverage Industry Delegation in Islamabad

Islamabad, The Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, held a meeting with a delegation from the Aerated Beverage Industry, including the President of Lotte Akhtar Beverages, Mr. Ghazi Akhtar. The Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Dr. Mehmet Pacaci, was also in attendance, highlighting the meeting’s diplomatic and economic significance.

According to Press Information Department, the delegation discussed the economic policies of the Pakistani government, praising the supportive measures that have facilitated industry growth. They proposed several tax adjustments, particularly regarding the Federal Excise Duty (FED), aimed at further boosting the industry and enhancing the government’s revenue collection. Minister Aurangzeb reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting private sector growth, reflecting the Prime Minister’s vision for a privatization-driven economy. The Finance Minister assured the delegation of strategic government actions within the fiscal constraints, fostering optimism for ongoing cooperation and support within the sector.
