Finance Minister Praises Pharmaceutical Industry’s Role in Economy

Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has expressed appreciation for the pharmaceutical sector’s contributions to public health, employment, and the broader economy. He conveyed his gratitude during a meeting with a delegation from the Pharma Bureau.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting focused on key policy, regulatory, and economic challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry. Discussions included topics such as pricing and availability of medicines, regulatory processes, investment facilitation, taxation, innovation, and opportunities for exports.

Muhammad Aurangzeb assured the delegation that their concerns and proposals would receive thorough examination in collaboration with relevant ministries and regulatory bodies. He emphasized the government’s commitment to ongoing engagement with stakeholders and providing support within the bounds of national priorities and fiscal sustainability.
