Karachi: A fire that erupted on the fourth and fifth floors of Rampa Plaza on MA Jinnah Road in Karachi on Tuesday morning was successfully contained without any casualties. The blaze, which was managed using snorkels and fire tenders, led to the safe evacuation of all individuals from the building.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, efforts were made to minimize the impact on citizens and businesses. The Uzma Karachi fire brigade promptly arrived on the scene, equipped with snorkels, fire tenders, bowsers, and other necessary fire-extinguishing tools. Additional resources, including water provisions from the water corporation, ensured that the firefighting process proceeded without delays.

Mayor Wahab emphasized the importance of equipping multi-storied buildings and markets with necessary fire suppression systems to enable swift responses in emergencies. Following a comprehensive assessment, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation has urged building owners to install appropriate fire-fighting equipment.
