Fire in Srinagar Army Cantonment Kills Civilian

Srinagar: A fire at an Indian Army cantonment in Badami Bagh, Srinagar, has resulted in the death of a non-Kashmiri civilian.

According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the blaze erupted in a canteen within the cantonment, inflicting severe burn injuries on Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Haryana. He was promptly transported to a military hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The incident occurred during nighttime, leading to the complete destruction of the canteen’s contents. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
