First Hajj Flight Departs for Medina Tonight

Islamabad: The first Hajj flight carrying 393 pilgrims is set to depart for Medina from Islamabad tonight. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf and Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki will be present at Islamabad International Airport to see off the pilgrims.

According to Radio Pakistan, a total of 100 flights will transport 28,400 pilgrims from Islamabad International Airport for this year’s Hajj. To facilitate the process, seven special immigration counters have been established under the Road to Mecca project. The Hajj operation is scheduled to continue until the 31st of the next month.
