FM Voices Satisfaction Over Increase in Remittances, IT Exports

Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has expressed satisfaction over the increase in remittance inflows and IT exports. Speaking at an event titled Dialogue on Economy in Islamabad today, he highlighted that the reduction in the policy rate is a positive development that will boost business confidence.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister mentioned that the tax return form for the salaried class is being simplified to facilitate employees, noting that many countries have already implemented similar measures. Discussing the budget for the next Financial Year, Muhammad Aurangzeb stated that discussions will be held with various chambers of commerce and industries next month to gather their inputs. He added that Government Departments have been asked to present their expenditures for the upcoming financial year.

The Finance Minister also reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to fulfilling the agreements made with the IMF.
