FO Raises Concerns Over Indian Extraterritorial Killings in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office has expressed grave concerns over what it describes as India’s activities involving extraterritorial and extrajudicial killings within Pakistan’s borders. The issue, according to officials, extends beyond Pakistan, raising alarms on a global scale.

According to Radio Pakistan, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch highlighted these concerns during her weekly news briefing in Islamabad. Baloch emphasized that India’s network of extraterritorial killings and abductions has expanded internationally, prompting other countries to share similar concerns regarding India’s actions beyond its borders.

The spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining friendly relations with its neighbors, including Afghanistan. She noted that Pakistan has established a robust dialogue mechanism with Afghanistan and expressed a desire to continue this dialogue. The discussions aim to cover various aspects of bilateral relations, particularly issues related to security and border management. Baloch assured that Pakistan is fully prepared to defend its national security and sovereignty against any threats, whether internal or external.

Addressing further inquiries, the spokesperson clarified the purpose of Gwadar port, developed with Chinese support, emphasizing that it serves Pakistan’s developmental goals. She firmly stated that Pakistan has no intentions to offer military bases to any foreign government or entity, dispelling any speculation in that regard.
