Food Ministry, HEJ Center Sign Agreement to Enhance Agricultural Yield

Karachi: The Ministry of National Food Security and Research and the HEJ International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, University of Karachi have signed an agreement to ensure seed quality and enhance agricultural yield. The agreement was signed in Karachi, with Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain witnessing the signing ceremony.

According to Radio Pakistan, under this agreement, the HEJ Center will provide commercial testing facilities for pesticide ingredients and related analysis. The collaboration aims to address the challenges of seed quality, which is a critical factor in improving agricultural productivity.

Speaking on the occasion, Rana Tanveer Hussain emphasized the importance of conducting research on the quality and standards of seeds. He highlighted that such initiatives are vital to curbing the production of poor-quality seeds, which can negatively impact agricultural output.
