Foreign Remittances in Pakistan Hit Record $3.6 Billion in One Month

Karachi: Foreign remittances in Pakistan have surged to a record high of $3.6 billion during the last month, witnessing an increase of 13 percent. This has taken the total remittances flow in the first half of the fiscal year 2026 to $19.7 billion, marking a 41 percent increase compared to the previous year.

According to Radio Pakistan, the country-wise breakdown of remittances shows that the highest amount was received from Saudi Arabia, totaling $813 million. This was followed by $726 million from the UAE, $560 million from the UK, and $302 million from the US.

Adviser to Finance Minister Khurram Schehzad stated that the record remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis reflect their strong confidence in the government. He emphasized that the strong involvement of overseas Pakistanis in the country’s economy is a guarantee of long-term stability, sustainable growth, and a bright future.
