Foreign Secretary Lauds Women’s Role in Promoting Global Peace

Islamabad: Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to gender equity in international relations and celebrated women’s vital role in building a peaceful and just global order. In her message on International Day for Women in Diplomacy, being observed on Tuesday, she extended heartfelt greetings to women diplomats worldwide, especially the distinguished women representing Pakistan with dedication and excellence.

According to Radio Pakistan, Amna Baloch emphasized that this day highlights women’s evolving role in global affairs. Across continents, women lead high-level diplomacy, foster understanding, and drive peace, development, and cooperation. She pointed out that women diplomats are shaping foreign policy, leading negotiations, and enriching global dialogue.

The Foreign Secretary highlighted Pakistan’s pride in its growing cadre of female diplomats and skilled professionals, who embody values with clarity and confidence. She noted that their presence marks progress toward inclusion and gender balance in the Foreign Service.

Amna Baloch asserted her commitment as Foreign Secretary to honor the legacy of trailblazing women and create opportunities for future generations by strengthening frameworks for women’s recruitment, retention, and advancement in diplomacy. She remarked that in a world facing complex challenges, women’s contributions to diplomacy are indispensable.
