Forest Fire Ignites Landmine Explosions in Poonch, IIOJK

Jammu: Six landmine blasts have occurred near the Line of Control in Poonch district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir due to a forest fire in the area.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the explosions took place in the forward areas of the Krishna Ghati sector in the Mendhar area of the district. Officials reported that the blasts were heard at regular intervals over several hours as the fire triggered possible landmines. No casualties have been reported so far.

Efforts are underway to control the flames, though the cause of the fire remains unclear, officials added.
