Forum for justice stages protest in Srinagar

Srinagar, June 18, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, members of Forum for Justice held protest demonstrations at Press Enclave in Srinagar, demanding whereabouts of the persons subjected to enforced disappearance by Indian forces.

Scores of women appeared in Press Enclave seeking whereabouts of their loved ones who were subjected to disappearance by the Indian armed forces during last 24 years of military violence.

“We appeal International community to stop issuing visas to troops involved in human rights violations in Kashmir. We also urge them to intervene and pressurize India to take steps to look into the cases of forced disappearances and book the accused persons under law,” said protestors.
