Karachi: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) hosted a significant meeting of the Pakistan-UAE Business Council at its headquarters in Karachi. The gathering was aimed at bolstering trade ties between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates and was led by Saqib Fayyaz Magoon, Senior Vice President of FPCCI, along with Fakhruddin Diwan, Chairman of the Pakistan-UAE Business Council.
According to a statement by Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the meeting included participation from Ali Zaib, Commercial Counsellor at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, and key FPCCI figures such as Adeel Siddiqui, Khurram Ijaz, Shabbir Hassan Mansha, and Executive Committee Member Sahibzadi Mahin Khan, among others.
Ali Zaib expressed his dedication to strengthening diplomatic and trade relations between the two nations, urging Pakistani businesses to seize opportunities in the UAE market and focus on increasing exports of Pakistan’s products to gain a larger market share.
Saqib Fayyaz Magoon highlighted the importance of promoting Pakistani products in the UAE and proposed the development of a platform to showcase these products at international exhibitions. He suggested setting up a help desk at major regional exhibitions to facilitate the display of Pakistani products.
Fakhruddin Diwan emphasized the meeting’s goal to enhance trade relations and develop strategies for mutual cooperation. Discussions covered UAE visa issues, potential trade barriers, and strategies to strengthen bilateral relations, while recognizing the UAE Consul General’s support in establishing a visa center for the business community.
The meeting was seen as an important step in discussing the future of trade relations between Pakistan and the UAE, with both parties committed to overcoming challenges and enhancing their economic partnership.
