FWO Working to Keep Khunjerab Pass Open Despite Severe Weather Conditions

Khunjerab Pass: Frontier Works Organization (FWO) is working round the clock to keep Khunjerab Pass open despite severe weather conditions. Located at an altitude of 16,000 feet, Khunjerab Pass is one of the highest border crossings in the world and serves as a crucial trade and travel link between Pakistan and China.

According to Radio Pakistan, for the first time in Pakistan’s seventy-eight-year history, Khunjerab Pass has been kept open during the winter season. Under a joint initiative by the governments of Pakistan and China, it was decided to keep Khunjerab Pass open year-round for trade and tourism activities. This initiative has significantly boosted trade between Pakistan and China.
