Gaza: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the announcement of an agreement that will bring an end to the genocide in Gaza is a historic opportunity to secure lasting peace in the Middle East. In a post on his X handle, he said President Donald Trump’s leadership throughout the process of dialogue and negotiations reflects his unwavering commitment to world peace.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister praised the leaders of Qatar, Egypt, and Turkiye for their efforts in negotiating the deal. He emphasized that the suffering of the Palestinian people should never be repeated and urged the international community to recognize their hardships.
The Prime Minister expressed concern over the recent provocations at Masjid Al Aqsa and condemned these actions. He called on the world to hold the occupiers and illegal settlers accountable and to support President Trump’s efforts to reduce tensions and achieve peace.
Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to work with partners and leaders of allied nations to establish peace, security, and dignity for the Palestinian people, aligning with their aspirations and UN resolutions.
