GB CM Stresses Satellite Connectivity for Timely Disaster Response

Islamabad: Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Amjad Hussain has said satellite connectivity in difficult mountain areas, monitoring of glaciers, and modern communication systems are indispensable for timely response to natural disasters.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of these technological advancements while presiding over a meeting. He urged the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to play an effective role in providing reliable internet and cellular connectivity in the region. The focus on enhancing communication infrastructure is seen as a critical measure to ensure rapid and efficient disaster response in the mountainous terrains of Gilgit-Baltistan.
