General Kayani visits Khyber Agency for overview of operations against terrorist’s stronghold

Rawalpindi, June 20, 2013 (PPI-OT): Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani visited Khyber Agency later today for an overview of operations against terrorist’s stronghold in Maidan area of Tirah Valley. While talking to troops, he lauded them for their swift and successful completion of operations and eviction of all terrorists including foreigners. He specially appreciated their resolve, commitment and sacrifices made during these operations.

He directed that despite difficulties, all possible care must be taken to ensure that the people of the area do not suffer needlessly and IDPs are rehabilitated as early as possible.

He was accompanied by Lieutenant General Khalid Rabbani, Commander Peshawar Corps.
