German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas will land in Turkey on Wednesday, according to a statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
During Maas’s visit, he will meet with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu. He will also meet with President Recep Erdogan, and with Parliament Speaker Binali Yildirim.
They are expected to discuss bilateral relations, Turkey process to join the EU, and regional and international issues.
The statement also said Cavusoglu and Maas will participate in the opening ceremony of the German Lyceum’s new academic year to mark its 150th year anniversary in Istanbul.
