Gilani Calls for Enhanced Trade Ties Between Pakistan and Azerbaijan

Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani highlighted the necessity of strengthening trade relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan across various sectors during a meeting with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov. This discussion emphasizes ongoing diplomatic efforts to deepen bilateral ties.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Senate Chairman expressed satisfaction with the direction of high-level contacts between the two nations, suggesting that further avenues for bilateral cooperation should be explored. These include the exchange of delegations at parliamentary and other levels to boost people-to-people contacts. Additionally, Gilani congratulated Azerbaijan on winning the bid to host COP29 in Baku next month, marking a significant achievement for the country.

The Azerbaijani Ambassador reiterated the importance of high-level contacts and boosting cooperation in different fields, aligning with both countries’ strategic interests.
