Gilani Vows to Develop South Punjab

Islamabad: Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has reiterated his longstanding commitment to the development and prosperity of South Punjab and the welfare of its people. He expressed these sentiments while meeting with Hafiz Hussain Ahmed Madani and Nawabzada Sardar Rafiq Abbasi, who called on him separately in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Acting President emphasized that South Punjab holds significant importance for him and that its development is essential for the overall progress of Pakistan. The discussions during these meetings primarily focused on the needs and priorities of the region.

The visitors acknowledged the contributions made by Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani toward Pakistan, particularly highlighting his efforts for South Punjab. They also commended his prompt and effective public service initiatives during the recent floods, noting his active involvement in relief and support activities.
