The International Day to Protect Education from Attack was marked globally on Monday, highlighting the growing challenges faced by educational institutions in conflict zones.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the day was established following a unanimous resolution by the UN General Assembly, which also tasked UNESCO and UNICEF with promoting global awareness of the issues. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, in his official message, underscored a significant rise in attacks on schools and educational staff, stressing the urgent need to safeguard education from the disruptions caused by conflicts.
