Gold Prices See Notable Drop Across Pakistan

Karachi: Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant decrease on Wednesday, with the cost of gold per tola and per 10 grams both registering declines. The international gold market also experienced a downturn, contributing to the local price adjustments.

According to a statement by All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola of 24-karat fell by Rs. 1,600, bringing it down to Rs. 301,500. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs. 1,372 to Rs. 258,487. The 22-karat gold price also saw a reduction, now priced at Rs. 236,955 per 10 grams, reflecting a drop of Rs. 1,257.

In the international market, gold prices decreased by $16, now standing at $2,888. This global decline is mirrored in the local market adjustments seen in Pakistan.

The prices for silver remained stable, with no change reported. Silver per tola of 24-karat is priced at Rs. 3,312, while 10 grams is at Rs. 2,839. On the international front, silver is priced at $31.70, with no fluctuation recorded.

These price changes are closely watched by investors and consumers alike, as gold and silver remain popular commodities in the region for both investment and personal use.
