Gold Prices Surge in Pakistan Amid International Market Trends

Karachi: Gold prices in Pakistan have witnessed a notable increase, in alignment with trends observed in the international market. The price for a tola of 24-karat gold has surged by Rs. 1,500, bringing the new rate to Rs. 301,500. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold has risen by Rs. 1,286, now standing at Rs. 258,487.

According to a statement by All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the local market’s increase mirrors the international gold price, which has climbed by $12 to reach $2,869. The 10 grams of 22-karat gold in Pakistan have also seen an increase of Rs. 1,179, adjusting the price to Rs. 236,955.

In addition to gold, silver prices have experienced an upward shift in the local market. The price for a tola of 24-karat silver increased by Rs. 30 to Rs. 3,270, while 10 grams of 24-karat silver rose by Rs. 26, priced at Rs. 2,803.

Contrastingly, the international silver market saw a decrease, with prices dropping by $0.36 to $31.41. These adjustments reflect the dynamics of both local and global market conditions, impacting traders and consumers in the region.
