Government Establishes Joint Task Force to Counter Propaganda Efforts

Islamabad: The government has announced the formation of a Joint Task Force (JTF) aimed at identifying entities responsible for spreading malicious propaganda against the state. This initiative is part of a broader effort to address the recent surge in terrorism and vandalism, coupled with a campaign designed to undermine the credibility of the state and its security forces.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the JTF’s mandate includes pinpointing individual groups and organizations that are involved in the dissemination of fake and misleading news. These activities are reportedly conducted through various domestic and foreign media platforms, with the intention of implicating state mechanisms in alleged human rights violations. The propaganda campaign is believed to be orchestrated to incite lawlessness and exploit ethnic and provincial divisions for political objectives.

The task force is expected to deliver its findings within a ten-day timeframe and ensure that those responsible are held accountable promptly.
