Government Initiates Targeted Subsidies for Motorcyclists, Transporters, and Farmers

Islamabad: Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Information for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Affairs, Ikhtiar Wali Khan, has announced that the government is making all-out efforts to provide relief to the people. In a televised conversation, he detailed that targeted subsidies are being provided to motorcyclists, transporters, and farmers.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ikhtiar Wali Khan stated that, following the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, public transport in Islamabad will be free. Additionally, there will be no increase in Pakistan Railways fares or toll taxes to provide immediate relief to the public.

He further disclosed that sixty percent of vehicles allocated to ministers have been withdrawn, and cabinet members are working without drawing any salaries or benefits. The Coordinator emphasized the need for national cohesion and criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for engaging in what he described as negative politics, rather than focusing on a public service agenda.
