Government Prioritizes Ease of Doing Business to Boost Foreign Investment, Says Commerce Minister Jam

Islamabad: Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, emphasized the government’s dedication to enhancing the Ease of Doing Business in Pakistan to attract more foreign investment. His remarks were part of a speech delivered at the fortieth anniversary event of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Khan outlined several government initiatives aimed at fostering a business-friendly environment. These include efforts to reduce inflation, stabilize and increase foreign reserves to lower interest rates, and reduce power tariffs, particularly for exporters. He also mentioned that the government is revising its transshipment policy to enhance cross-border trade, aiming to position Pakistan as a regional business hub for Central Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East.
