Government Reaffirms Support for Roshan Digital Account Scheme: Finance Minister

Washington: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has underscored the government’s continued commitment to the Roshan Digital Account (RDA) scheme. He conveyed this message during his address at the Roshan Digital Account and Remittance Roadshow – Pakistan Diaspora Leaders’ Evening, held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, D.C.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister highlighted the unwavering support for the RDA scheme, emphasizing that even during Pakistan’s severe balance of payments crisis, when foreign exchange reserves were alarmingly low, no restrictions were placed on deposits in RDA accounts. This demonstrates the government’s dedication to facilitating overseas Pakistanis in contributing to the national economy.

Muhammad Aurangzeb also praised the introduction of new features and enhancements to the scheme, which have significantly expanded the investment options for account holders. He encouraged expatriate Pakistanis to capitalize on these opportunities and invest in Pakistan’s economy through the RDA platform.
