Government to engage all Institutions for resolving Problems of masses: Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs

Islamabad, November 19, 2013 (PPI-OT): Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Minister in charge, Prime Minister’s Public Affairs and Grievances Wing, Sheikh Aftab Ahmed said here Tuesday that P.M’s Public Affairs and Grievances Wing will resolve all issues relating to the masses on priority basis and all public service institutions will be geared towards this end.

The Minister was chairing a meeting on disposal of Parliamentary business pertaining to Cabinet Division and its Attached Departments/Autonomous Bodies and Regulatory Authorities.

Representatives of Capital Development Authority and Pakistan Telecom Authority briefed the Minister about the functions and responsibilities of their organizations. Officials of Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Cabinet Division, CDA and PTA were present in the meeting.

The Minister directed that all institutions must take strong measures on war footing to resolve the basic issues faced by the people.

Sheikh Aftab expressed deep concern over shortage of water in the capital and directed the concerned authority to resolve this important issue. Mr. Sanaullah Aman, Member Engineering, assured the Minister that CDA is planning to overcome shortage of water in the Capital and trying to establish water supply from Tarbela Dam.

The Minister directed PTA to chalk out a mechanism for preventing misuse of Sims which is causing anguish to the people. Mr. Tariq Sultan, Member Finance, PTA also briefed about the PTA functions and development projects and assured that PTA shall make due efforts for resolving this issue.

Sheikh Aftab Ahmed said that government will engage all institutions who deal with public matter for resolving the basic problems of the masses and they should be fully equipped to deliver their best.
