Government’s Economic Measures Lead to Stabilization: Information Minister Attaullah Tarar

Islamabad: The Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar, announced that the country’s economy has reached stability, attributing this achievement to the government’s effective measures. In a televised address, he reported significant economic indicators, including remittances amounting to $8.8 billion, an interest rate maintained at 15%, and foreign exchange reserves exceeding $11 billion.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Tarar highlighted a decrease in the inflation rate to 4.8 percent as evidence of economic improvement. He criticized the PTI’s political narrative, dismissing claims of direct confrontations between law enforcement and protestors as unfounded, with no video evidence to support such allegations.

Tarar described the recent PTI protest as non-peaceful, alleging that protestors were in possession of advanced weapons. He accused PTI of exploiting the situation to cover up what he termed a failed protest strategy.
