Karachi, November 17, 2014 (PPI-OT): Governor of Sindh Dr. Isharat-ul-Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah along with the provincial minister for local government Sharjeel Inam Memon inaugurated the newly constructed bridge on Thado Nullah on Monday and also inspected the area. Metropolitan Commissioner Sajjad Hussain Abbasi and other officers were also present on this occasion.

In a detailed briefing on the project it was informed that KMC had completed this project with a cost of around Rs130million in a short period of 9 months which would provide convenience to residents of Memon Goth Malir and other adjoining areas whose connection with the main city used to be terminated owing to increased water level in Thado nullah during rains and they had to travel many hours to go through Khokrapar and Superhighway in their access to the Goths.

The construction of 110 meter long bridge on this nullah has ensured direct access to city for people residing in Goths. The Governor of Sindh Dr. Isharat-ul-Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah also directed concerned officials to plan the construction of existing track as a two lane road. They also instructed for repairing of the old way on the nullah and its restoration which would provide more convenience to traffic.

Instructions were also issued for maintenance of road and cutting of roadside bushes with acceleration in the development work involving the linking of road with the DHA Phase 8 so that the connection of residents of Goths with this road could restore soon.
