Karachi, March 05, 2014 (PPI-OT): Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan has appreciated the services of social organisations in education and health sectors of the country especially in Karachi. These organisations, by playing very important role, do help governments in fulfilling its responsibilities , he said while talking to a delegation of Young Men Christians Association ( YMCA) who called on him at the Governor House here , said an official statement on Tuesday.
The Governor said that sports and other recreational facilities have been a part of the education system at the educational institutes set up in the past. These need to be preserved so that along with getting quality education the students can excel in other healthy activities, he said.
He recognised that YMCA’s is one of the leading social organisations in the world and it has also been contributing a lot in promotion of education, sports and other social activities in Pakistan as well.
He emphasized that the school operating YMCA here should continue to play its prominent role. The delegation apprised the Governor of the problems facing YMCA in rendering its social services in Sindh. The Governor ordered his Principal Secretary Muhammad Hussain Syed to resolve YMCA’s legitimate issues.
