Governor Sindh Calls for Action on Violence Against Women

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori has issued a call to action on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, urging for effective measures against the oppression of women. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation to address the global issue of violence against women and stated that strict measures are being implemented in the province to combat physical, emotional, sexual, and economic violence.

According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori highlighted the necessity of ending violence against women as a collective goal, essential for societal development. He underscored that strong legislation is being enacted in Sindh to protect women’s rights and provide them with dignified opportunities. The Governor’s House has also prioritized empowering women through IT courses under the Governor’s Initiative, reflecting ongoing efforts to enhance their status in society.
