Govt Aims to Eliminate Hepatitis in 3-4 Years: Ahsan Iqbal.

Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said the government aims to eliminate hepatitis from the country in the next three to four years. Addressing a meeting in Islamabad on Monday, he stated that this goal is achievable, citing Egypt’s success in eradicating hepatitis within three years as an example to follow.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ahsan Iqbal also mentioned that the Prime Minister’s initiative on diabetes will soon be launched. He emphasized that the focus will not solely be on treatment but will also include preventive healthcare through greater public awareness efforts. He believes that this comprehensive approach will help reduce the occurrence of diseases in the population.
