Govt Approves Ban on Fugitive Adil Farooq Raja

Islamabad: The government has approved a ban on fugitive Adil Farooq Raja, declaring him a proscribed individual for supporting and propagating anti-state narratives. A notification issued by the Interior Ministry states that the ban has been imposed under Section 11[EE] of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.

According to Radio Pakistan, Adil Farooq Raja has been supporting and propagating anti-state narratives and propaganda through social media, which poses serious threats to national security, integrity, and public order in Pakistan. The Ministry emphasizes that Adil Farooq Raja’s conduct contradicts the sovereignty and national interests of Pakistan and is based on prejudice.
