Govt Approves Foreigner Long Term Residency Order

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the Cabinet Committee meeting on Long-Term Residency Policy in Islamabad on Saturday. The Committee deliberated in detail and approved the Foreigner (Long Term Residency) Order, 2025, a key initiative under Pakistan’s investment visa policy to attract investors and professionals.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting was attended by Minister for Law Azam Nazeer Tarar, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, the Foreign Secretary, Secretary Law, Secretary Interior, Chairman FBR, Special Secretary Finance, and others. The approval of this order marks a significant step in Pakistan’s efforts to enhance its appeal as a destination for foreign investment and skilled professionals.
