Govt bans Pashtun Tahafuz Movement citing security threats

The Federal Government has imposed a ban on the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), citing threats to peace and security of the country.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Interior, the PTM has been declared a proscribed organization under Section 11B of the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997.
