Govt Collaborates with International Partners to Boost Agricultural Productivity

Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain has announced that the government is actively collaborating with international partners to enhance agricultural productivity, safeguard food security, and provide farmers with innovative solutions.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a meeting with a delegation of the BGI Group in Islamabad, Minister Hussain emphasized the government’s commitment to integrating modern technologies in agriculture. He outlined the potential for collaboration between Pakistan and BGI in several pivotal areas, including training programs for Pakistani researchers, establishing joint laboratory ventures, and initiating pilot projects to apply genomic research in practical settings.

To promote technology transfer and its adoption at the grassroots level, the government has decided to launch demonstration projects. These initiatives aim to enable farmers and researchers to observe and experience the tangible benefits of genomic advancements firsthand.
