Govt Commits to Import 1 Million Tonnes of Wheat to Meet Domestic Needs

Islamabad: A meeting of the Steering Committee on wheat-related matters was held in Islamabad today with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair. The meeting focused on reviewing wheat availability and requirements in light of the demands of the provinces.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Committee reiterated its decision to import 1 million tonnes of wheat. This move aims to meet domestic requirements, ease price pressures, and provide relief to the public.
