Govt Committed to Economic Growth and Industrial Modernization with Greenfield Refinery Project

Islamabad: Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal held a meeting with a delegation of SPEC Refinery led by its Chairman, Zafar Sheikh, to discuss the development of Pakistan’s first Deep Conversion Greenfield Refinery Project planned at Hub, Balochistan. The proposed refinery will employ advanced deep conversion technology capable of maximizing the production of high-value petroleum products while processing a wide range of crude oil grades sourced from international markets.

According to Radio Pakistan, Jam Kamal Khan stated that the government is committed to facilitating investment that contributes to economic growth, industrial modernization, import substitution, and export enhancement. The meeting emphasized the importance of the refinery project in not only modernizing the industrial sector but also in boosting the country’s economic framework through strategic investments. The technology and approach outlined for the new refinery aim to advance the country’s energy sector capabilities significantly.
