Govt Ensuring All-Out Facilities to Int’l Investors: PM

Islamabad: Global port investor, Hutchinson Ports, has expressed interest in expanding its portfolio in Pakistan, deeming it a suitable country for investment. The interest was conveyed by Hutchinson Ports’ CEO Eric Ip during his meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the CEO highlighted the company’s initiatives to introduce modern technology at Karachi Port. During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the government’s commitment to providing comprehensive facilities to international investors. He noted that Hutchinson Ports’ long-term investment in Pakistan over the past three decades demonstrates confidence in the country’s economic policies.

The Prime Minister also mentioned the significant role Hutchinson Ports has played in introducing modern technology at Pakistani ports. He pointed out that the company’s services will be instrumental in establishing modern scanners for customs assessment, further enhancing the efficiency of port operations. Additionally, Shehbaz Sharif assured that steps are being taken to make investment policies more favorable for investors.
