Govt Focusing on Export-Led Inclusive Growth, Says Bilal

Islamabad: Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani has announced that the government, having achieved macroeconomic stability, is now concentrating on export-led sustainable and inclusive growth.

According to Radio Pakistan, Kayani shared this vision while speaking to businessmen and industrialists in Islamabad. He emphasized that the contours of the Federal Budget for the current fiscal year have been shaped by this focus on growth.

The Minister highlighted the importance of tariff reforms as a significant step toward this goal. He noted that the newly announced five-year National Tariff Policy is designed to reduce the input costs of raw materials and intermediate goods, thereby facilitating industries and businesses across the country.

Kayani also mentioned the government’s efforts to enhance the performance of the Federal Board of Revenue and tackle inflation through active collaboration with the business community. He assured that consultations with the business community will become a regular and permanent feature of the government’s strategy.
