Govt Fully Committed to Ensuring Food Security: Tanveer

Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain has directed the authorities concerned to take strict action against bogus seed companies involved in the illegal movement and trade of wheat seeds. He emphasized the importance of regulatory compliance during the 13th meeting of the National Wheat Oversight Committee, which he chaired in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Minister Hussain stressed that the government remains fully committed to ensuring food security and protecting farmers’ interests. He reiterated that no compromise would be made on regulatory compliance, highlighting the administration’s dedication to tackling issues related to the illegal seed trade. The meeting served as a platform for addressing these concerns and reinforcing the government’s resolve to maintain a stable and secure food supply.
