Govt Implements Measures to Tame Inflation: Ahsan

Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has announced that Pakistan’s economy continued on a trajectory of stability and recovery throughout the outgoing financial year, despite facing several internal and external challenges. He shared this update while addressing a news conference in Islamabad after the release of the ministry’s monthly development report for June.

According to Radio Pakistan, the minister attributed the economic stability to the government’s prudent economic policies, which have maintained macroeconomic stability and allowed the economy to sustain its growth momentum. The economy grew by 3.7 percent during the outgoing financial year, marking the highest growth rate in the last four years, even amid significant external pressures.

Ahsan Iqbal emphasized that the government is actively implementing effective measures to control inflation, including strict price monitoring, aimed at providing relief to the public.
