Govt Initiatives Promote Quranic Understanding Through International Qirat Competition

Islamabad: Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, emphasized that the government, under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, is actively promoting a deeper understanding of the Holy Quran. The hosting of the International Qirat Competition in Pakistan serves as a testament to this commitment.

According to Radio Pakistan, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf shared these remarks at the closing ceremony of Pakistan’s inaugural International Husn-e-Qirat Competition held in Islamabad. He highlighted that the Holy Quran is a vital source of guidance and a comprehensive life code that Muslims should adhere to.

The minister praised the event’s success in fostering Pakistan’s Qirat tradition and inspiring the nation’s youth to excel in Quranic recitation. He extended his gratitude to the competition’s participants, judges, and organizers for their efforts in making the event a success.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs organized the competition, which saw participation from prominent Qaris representing over 40 member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
