Govt Issues Digital License to Kuwait’s Raqami Islamic Bank

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that Pakistan and Kuwait continue to enjoy strong brotherly relations, which are set to deepen through enhanced economic, investment, and trade cooperation. He made these remarks during a ceremony held in Islamabad, where a digital license was officially issued to Raqami Islamic Bank.

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif extended his congratulations to Raqami Islamic Bank for becoming the third licensed digital retail bank in Pakistan. He expressed optimism that the bank would not only adhere to Sharia principles but also introduce features that will support and promote the growth of banking across the country.

Sharif highlighted that this development is expected to significantly enhance the economic relationship between Pakistan and Kuwait. He also expressed his appreciation to the Kuwaiti leadership for their ongoing support to Pakistan at various times.
