Govt Pledges to Safeguard Minority Rights, Says Tarar

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting the rights of minorities. He made the remarks during a meeting with a delegation of the Christian community, in which Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar was also present.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Information Minister emphasized the importance of consulting with representatives of minorities and other communities to ensure that the views and needs of all citizens are effectively reflected in legislation and public policy. Tarar highlighted the government’s determination to promote interfaith harmony, equal citizenship, and an inclusive society where every Pakistani, without discrimination, can contribute to national development.

The delegation expressed appreciation for the government’s ongoing efforts to protect the rights of minority communities. The meeting included detailed discussions on resolving issues faced by minority communities and effectively addressing the needs of the Christian community through relevant laws and policies.
